Like love…

I saw the sun come up over the mountain

in the morning

the morning birds still singing

their sweet melody floats through my window,

Like love

the owls mellow coos slowly drifting away

Like love

the fox trots away into the forest

Like love

the trees sway in the wind

Like love

the robin dances upon the branches

Like love

the soft flaps of the hummingbird wings beat

Like love

the whistle of the tea pot calls me downstairs

Like love

Genesis:
It was Christmas Eve…
I was sitting in the living room with everyone…

Skyscraper

I touch the sky every day.
I'm up so high in the clouds.
I see the friendly birds flying around Floor 47.
I can barely see the people walking in my lobby.
I see the cars zooming around the noisy street.

I hear the sweet sound of the morning doves.
I hear the people talking so faintly.
I hear the city noise of the cars and buses.

I think that people appreciate me.
I think the people are happy that I stand so proud and tall.
I think the birds like me because my top stands tall like a canopy for them.
I think the people love me because I shelter them from the heat or cold; rain, snow, hail or storm.

I feel strong and proud.
I stand so high in the beautiful sky.
I feel good but sometimes I get lonely.
Too high for the other buildings to see me.
Sometimes I feel dizzy looking down, so far down.
I try to feel bright, even in the dark night.

That is all the sights, sounds, thoughts, feelings, I feel every day
Me, as tall as can be.
